Pitched Perfect
Modern Warmth Beneath Jerusalem’s Rooftops
Perched above a landmark home in Jerusalem’s Greek Colony, this penthouse duplex introduces two contemporary floors to a heritage structure, melding history with lightness and modern design. The upper level’s tall pitched ceilings lend architectural drama and originality, celebrating the roofline as both structure and sculpture. At the entry, an oval-shaped spiral steel staircase becomes a statement of movement and form, setting the tone for the home’s interplay between strength and softness.
Designed for a couple relocating from a spacious home in America, the goal was to create warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging within a new landscape. The palette, deep blues, soft blush tones, and muted earth hues, brings calm and continuity, while abundant natural light enhances the materials’ quiet beauty. The result is a home that feels both rooted and elevated, balancing modern elegance with emotional warmth.
